The first weekend of discontent occurred this weekend with just 16 games played across the Pembrokeshire football programme due to adverse weather conditions.
Frozen pitches and snow covered grounds meant any attempt to play football would have been too dangerous.
The second teams of those clubs, apart from Pendine, who do not have a second team, didn't see any action either as their games also fell foul to the weather.
While one week off may be welcome, none of the clubs will be wishing for the cold snap to continue as the backlog in fixtures can cause problems later on in the season, as happened at the tail-end of last season's campaign.
This time last year there was a host of games called off due to frozen pitches and then the rains came which rendered pitches unplayable for weeks. This meant that some clubs had to play six games in two weeks, which is a tall order for even the most diehard football fan.
Not all games fell foul, however, and Carew were one such club to don their kit and do battle against the freezing wastes and Camrose.
With manager Barry Evans celebrating his 40th birthday, he would have been hopeful of watching his team give him a present to remember and they certainly did that by winning 2-1. Brian Hall continued his good form of late with yet another goal, while Alex Bailey grabbed the other.
Saundersfoot Sports had a magnificent 5-1 home win against Milford Athletic. Geoff Marsh was the hero of the day as he slammed in four goals, with Nicky Cope also finding the back of the net to complete a memorable day for Andrew Spencer and his men.
In division three, Jordan Richards made a rare appearance for Tenby seconds as they entertained neighbours Manorbier United. The first team regular scored twice for the home side, with Jimmy Thomas and Liam Culshaw also ending with a brace apiece in an excellent game.
Lawrenny had a difficult away game at West Dragons and found the going too tough as they lost 4-1. Joe Kidney scored the visitors' only goal in an otherwise forgettable game for them.
In division four, Daniel Bates, Mick Cornick and Tom Davies each scored a goal in Saundersfoot Sports' reserves 3-2 away win at Milford Athletic, while St. Florence had an excellent 5-2 home win against Camrose seconds.
Colin Batley finished with a hat-trick, with Ashley Smith and Paul Davies also scoring in an excellent win.
