CONGRATULATIONS to Nia O'Doherty, who graduated this summer from Cardiff Medical School with a distinction in her final MB examination in medicine. A former pupil of Tenby Infant and Junior Schools, Bro Myrddin School, Carmarthen, and Greenhill School, Tenby, for her sixth form, Nia is the daughter of Kim and Karen O'Doherty, of 1 Hill Park, Tenby. She is currently working in Singleton Hospital, Swansea.
Congratulations to Adrian Chiffi, who recently gained a Masters Degree, with distinction, in information systems management, from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. Adrian, a former pupil of Greenhill School, is the son of Tony and Marianne Chiffi, of Lindholme House, Tenby, and is currently employed as a global project manager with Logica CMG.
CONGRATULATIONS to Rosemary Johanna Putwain, who recently graduated from Leicester University with a First Class Honours degree as a master of mathematics. A former pupil of Greenhill School, Rosie is the daughter of Trisha and the late Dicky Putwain, of Tenby. She has been awarded a funded place to read for a PhD in mathematics at the University of Southampton.
Congratulations to Jessica Jayne Edwards, who graduated with a 2.i BSc Hons Environmental Health degree from University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. Jess, a former pupil of Ysgol Bro Myrddin, Carmarthen, and Greenhill School, Tenby, is the daughter of Jayne and Paul Edwards, of Tenby. Jess has accepted the post of environmental health officer with Cardiff City Council. All the family wish her the very best for her future career.
Congratulations to Mike Davies, of St. John's Croft, Tenby, who recently graduated from West Wales School of Arts in Carmarthen with a first class BA (hons) degree in Fine Art Sculpture. A former pupil of Saundersfoot CP and Greenhill Secondary School, Tenby, Mike is the son of David and the late Pam Davies of Bevelin Hall, Saundersfoot. Mike will be continuing to develop his artistic practice from his workshop in Lower Park Road, Tenby.
CONGRATULATIONS to Dr. Laura Anne Winstanley B.Med Sc, BMBS, who has graduated with honours from Nottingham University where she studied medicine. Laura also received three prestigious awards during her studies, these being the Hilda Margery Cuff Prize for performing best in senior medical attachment, the Senate Prize for the most promising student in dermatology and the Mitchell Prize for the best clinical performance in the final year. Laura is a former pupil and head girl at Greenhill School, where she was leader of the school orchestra, and was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Wales. She has been appointed JHO at the City Hospital, Nottingham.
CONGRATULATIONS to Lee Sefton who recently graduated from Trinity College, Caramarthen, with a 2.1 BA (ed) in primary education. A former pupil of Sageston CP School and Greenhill School, Tenby, Lee is the son of Pam and Gary Sefton, of Broadmoor, and brother of Donna. He will be taking up a teaching post in Solva CP School in September, with all the family wishing him well in his future career.
