LOCAL artist, Susan Sands, will be showing paintings and original artist's prints in the Oriel Emrys Gallery, 15 High Street, Haverfordwest, starting tomorrow (Saturday).
After graduating from Reading in the late '50s, Susan Sands travelled extensively and taught in London.
She was a founder member of Greenwich Printmakers Association, and also showed at galleries including the RA and the Whitechapel. She moved to Pembrokeshire in 1990, but also spends a great deal of time in India, where she helps support a school. She is currently one of a small group of artists representing Wales in San Francisco and Boston.
The Oriel Emrys show will include recent work originating from a sailing trip to the Scilly Isles. The exhibition opens tomorrow (Saturday) and runs until October 30. It is open Monday - Saturday, 9.30 am until 5 pm. Admission is free.
