Scholarship success: Congratulations to James Scotney, of Llanteg Park, on his achievement of winning the 2009 Pembrokeshire Academic Scholarship to attend Aberystwyth University. Only 50 academic scholarships are awarded in the whole of the UK per year - so well done James. James will be studying English literature, Spanish and American history and culture and will be flying to the States for six months to continue his studies at one of America's State Universities in 2010. He is wished all the very best for the future and in his ultimate chosen career.

Llanteg Community Association: Walk and Talk with Kiri Howell, Pembrokeshire Coast community ranger. If you would like to find out more about the surrounding area where you live and enjoy walking, please join the group on Sunday, August 2, for a guided walk to Amroth. The walk will start at The Old School Garden, Llanteg, at 11 am. The route will be via Trelessy Lane, aiming to reach Amroth for 12 noon. The return journey will start from outside the Amroth Arms, Amroth, at 2 pm, via Colby Gardens, to Llanteg. You are welcome to join at any stage of the journey for part of walk. Please wear suitable clothing and bring a packed lunch.
