All members attended the December meeting in the Village Hall. Items discussed included the proposed new format for the county letter, the main consultative meeting to be held in the Pavilion, Withybush Showground, the meetings for officers, the eve of conference entertainment, which two members are taking part in, and the 'big garden birdwatch'. The group carol service was be held in New Moat Church. Members contributed mince pies towards this event. The speaker for the afternoon was Gerald White, who assembled some very effective Christmas decorations and answered general gardening queries. He was warmly thanked by Eileen Lewis. Arrangements were then made for transport to the carol service and the Christmas lunch in the Nantyffin. Tea was served by Nancy Eynon and the competition won by Sadie Morgan. The next meeting, on Wednesday, January 9, will contain a talk by the Fire Brigade. New members are most welcome - make it your New Year's resolution to join the WI.
