OWING to a large number of absentees, there were just three tables in play at Penally Bridge Club on March 9. Winners, fresh from their holiday, were John & Jill with 63%, followed by Jan & Denis with 58%, a good result for them.

There were just two slams, both bid and made by Geoff & Paul V.

To compensate for the club’s lack of milk, Paul had brought a tray of delicious pastries, which were much enjoyed.

Penally Bridge Club meets each Monday at 1.30pm in the Village Hall and welcomes visiting players and their partners. Refreshments are provided and there is ample parking.
