Sir,
On Saturday, December 10, I arrived back in the UK. I had a foot injury whilst abroad and required a foot dressing on return.
I called at A&E at Morriston Hospital, but the waiting time was two hours, so I did not wait.
Upon my arrival back home, I visited the Minor Injury Unit at South Pembs. Hospital. The treatment and care I received was first class, and no waiting time whatsoever.
Should they close this unit, especially as the population of South Pembs is increased during the summer months, this could mean life or death; as it will take much longer to get to Withybush A&E.
I appeal to Hywel Dda Health Authority: think again - lives will be put at risk!
