The Welsh College of Horticulture has landed in the Tenby area with a wide range of gardening courses. This specialist college is located in the sleepy town of Northop, in North Wales, and is locally referred to as 'the best kept secret in Northop'.

Having been awarded high grades in its last inspection for the education it provides, the college is now spreading its wings, in taking its wealth of gardening expertise across Wales.

"We have a very special remit which is to take our quality horticultural education across the principality. These classes are only the beginning, we aim to provide gardening and related training to all sectors of the Welsh population, wherever they may be located," said Kantz Misra, one of the regional co-ordinators.

"In effect, the college's market is the entire nation of Wales, not simply the local region where it is based; this is a bold step for a small specialist college," he added.

The classes beginning here in Tenby and Pembroke Dock from September 30 cater for the gardening amateur as well as the enthusiast. They will be run at Greenhill School and Pembroke Dock CEC in the evenings. For further details of the courses and enrolment, please call Freephone 0800 0749133 and mention the town you are in.
