Sir,

I was delighted to see from page three of last Friday's edition that there are plans in the pipeline for disabled parking spaces at the entrance to Narberth car park. I share Clr. Evans's hope that use of the spaces will not be abused by non-blue badge holders, but my observations of unentitled parking in every single disabled space over the last few years, both in the car park and the High Street, leave little cause for optimism. Is it too much to hope, I wonder, that the police will make spot checks and deal appropriately with the selfish, uncivilised louts who behave in this way?

Owen Thomas,

Mill Mead, Robeston Wathen, Narberth.
