Following an inquest which determined that Lisa Fraser of Pembroke Dock died by unlawful killing, the 52-year-old’s family has paid tribute to her - saying that she will be remembered as a woman who was loved, cherished, and adored by everyone that knew her.

At the hearing this week, assistant coroner Paul Bennett said that LIsa Fraser had no connection to her attacker Matthew Harris, who entered had her home at Military Road on May 13 and killed her.

Paying tribute, the family said: “Lisa Fraser. You hear the name and think of the woman who was murdered. But, to us she was so much more, a wife, mother, best friend, the glue that kept us all secure.

“This horrendous act, that took place on the 13th May 2022, was not only what you read out of horror stories but happened to our beautiful mother! The most innocent, caring, loving and nurturing person you would have ever come across, we only hope going forward that another family doesn’t have to go through this horrendous ordeal.

“Lisa Fraser was more than a woman who was murdered and she should be remembered for the amazing, caring soul that she was. She loved and cared for her 3 adult children like they were still young, cared for her grandson, for the 8 months that she had with him, like he was her own.

“Not only did she care for family but she cared for adults with additional needs and treated them like her own family too.

“Our lives will be forever changed without her and time is not a healer, we get through because we have to, because she wouldn’t want us to suffer, or not enjoy life to its’ fullest.

“Lisa Fraser was the life and soul to every party or get together and laughter followed her everywhere, she was a complete joy to the world and would support anybody who needed it, whenever they needed it.

“Lisa Fraser, our wife, mum, meemaw, mother-in-law did not deserve what happened to her, she should still be here to enjoy her life with her family and friends around her.

“She doesn’t deserve to be remembered as the woman who was murdered, but the woman who was loved, cherished, and adored by everyone that knew her,” they added.
