The match was played at the Clicketts ground and eventually saw the lively Lions overcome their talented young opponents 6-5, with outstanding performances coming from Robert 'The Cat' Mayhew and Steve 'The Goal Machine' Briers.
With the Under 11s roaring away to a three-goal start, the Lions appeared to be heading for a big defeat, but once their past president got his boots on, they changed up a gear and began to produce some fluent passing movements.
This enabled Steve 'Hot Shot' Briers to grab four of the six goals, with Nick Stapleton cleaning up with the other two.
The youngsters also netted a couple more times, but with time running out, the tiring Lions managed to hang on for their biggest win so far.
