Recently celebrating their 28th birthday and annual charter dinner/handover at the Giltar Hotel were the Tenby and Saundersfoot Lions Club.
Local dignitaries, representatives of Round Table, Rotary and Soroptimists, together with Lions members and their wives from all over district 105W, joined members of the Tenby club to enjoy a fun evening and wonderful food well into the early hours.
Outgoing president Keith Nixon thanked club members and wives for all their help and support and gave a review of the years events and listed numerous people and charitable causes the club was able to support and all the fun they had in the process.
Past District Governor Bill O'Neill told guests of the work that was on going by Lions International in helping victims of Tsunami in Asia and thanked the club for its generous donation towards the cause.
He commented that he always enjoyed coming to Tenby to join in and support club events when he could and was proud to be associated with one of the strongest clubs in the district.
Incoming president Miguel Gonzalez was looking forward to his presidency for the second time and he hoped the club could achieve even greater heights in the future.
Lion-of-the-year award was presented to Lion John Griffiths for all his hard-work over the years for the club.
The Tenby and Saundersfoot Lions Club would like to thank all those groups, organisations and individuals who have supported the club over the years for all their work and generosity in support of charitable events.
