New Hedges Parent and Toddler Group would like to say thank you to Tenby and Saundersfoot Lions who played a huge part in helping them with their purchase of six replacement nursery tables. Due to this generous donation, the group now has adequate facilities to host a six-week 'Language and Play' programme, which started this week. The scheme is designed to give parents and carers the opportunity to find out more about how young children learn, and how parents can help with that process and enjoy themselves at the same time. On attending the sessions, you will also receive a free copy of 'Read with Me' to help you understand how young children learn to read, as well as a CD and book of stories, songs and rhymes, along with a language and play Home Time file, which is full of activities and ideas to inspire talking and playing in everyday routines. Anyone interested in attending will be more than welcome between 10 and 11.45 am Tuesdays and Thursdays, at New Hedges Village Hall.
