The Mayor of Tenby has issued a reminder to committees of other organisations that members of the town council sit on, to write with notice of any meetings taking place. Speaking at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane said that information needed to be sent to councillors on future meetings, as it was important that they kept a link to outside bodies they sat on. It was pointed out at the meeting when councillors were determining who sat on which committees, that Clr. Mrs. Kerri Durham had indicated that she had never been invited to a meeting of Tenby Leisure Centre Facility Users Committee, which she was an elected member of. "When I spoke to the manager of the leisure centre, Mr. Rob Thomas, and pointed this out, he told me that they only called a meeting if they had something to discuss," the town clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, told councillors. "Clr. Mrs. Durham responded by stating that perhaps £4m alterations to the facility that were approved last year would be something that would warrant discussions!" he added.
