There will be plenty of activity at South Beach, Tenby, this weekend, when Tenby hosts the West Wales Junior Surf Life Saving Championships.
Clubs from all over West Wales will gather to test their life saving skills, including swimming races, board races, beach sprints and team relays.
Although this is a competition, the emphasis is on getting together and having fun.
The event starts at 10 am on Sunday, with a presentation ceremony at approximately 4 pm.
Tomorrow (Saturday) between 11 am and 4 pm, the club is opening its doors to the public to come and view the facilities and try the equipment or speak to anybody about the sports available, including windsurfing and rowing. There will be safety cover on the water at all times.
The club offers free introduction to windsurfing classes on Wednesdays at South Beach from 5 to 7 pm, lifeguard training for ages 12 and over on Wednesdays between 6 and 8 pm and long boat rowing on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 pm or Sundays at 10.30 am.
If anyone is interested in any of the events taking place, please come along. For further information contact Jules Rilstone on 01834 843447 or Julie Evans on 01834 844137
