On Tuesday, January 21, Tenby Rotary Club welcomed Keith Johnson, editor of Pembrokeshire Life and author of several books on pubs in the county.
As he thought most members knew enough about the pubs, his entertaining talk was on murders in Pembrokeshire in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. These ranged from farmers fighting on the way home in Penally to a mass murder of a family in Cold Blow being disguised as a house fire!
Not only men were executed for murder, as a woman who threw her baby down a mine shaft near Colby Lodge was also hanged.
Past president Alan Jones thanked Keith on behalf of the club members for his most interesting talk.
