Span Arts is thrilled to announce the hilarious Lee Nelson is coming to the De Valence Pavilion in Tenby this summer following his sell-out tour ‘Suited and Booted’
Lee Nelson is the chavvy alter ego of comedian Simon Brodkin, known by many for his own character sketch show for BBC Three, ‘Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show’.
Other characters include clumsy Dr. Bob and cliché footballer Jason Bent who saw the show win Brodkin numerous comedy awards.
Lee Nelson is well-known for his high risk and high profile public pranks. Most notably, last year he invaded a FIFA press conference in Zurich and threw piles of real money over controversial FIFA president, Sepp Blatter. Nelson then went on to invade the stage with Kanye West at his headlining set at Glastonbury 2015!
In 2013, Brodkin, in character as Premiership footballer Jason Bent, began warming up with the Manchester City players, who were preparing for a game at Goodison Park against Everton. Brodkin received a six-month conditional caution for the incident. In character as Lee Nelson, Brodkin stood as a candidate in the South Shields by-election in 2013. He later withdrew his nomination.
On the Suited and Booted tour, Nelson brings a new look, a new outlook and a brand new show.
Catch Nelson at his absolute best, live and unleashed this summer in Tenby on Friday, June 3.
