Pontarddulais 16 pts.
Tenby United 16
A late converted try by Pontarddulais saw the Seasiders having to settle for a draw in this hard fought Division Three West encounter on Saturday, which was played out in atrocious conditions.
Looking to claw themselves away from the lower regions of the table, Tenby got off to a good start and found themselves 13-0 up following a try from outside-half Toby Smith, which was converted by winger Jimmy Davies, who also added two penalties to his tally.
The posts hit back before the break, however, with their only points of the half, a penalty from their own number 10 Gary Williams.
Into the second half and both Davies and Williams kicked penalties for the respective clubs to make the score 16-6.
Williams added another three points for Pontarddulais approaching the 60-minute mark, to leave his side needing a converted try to level things up.
A late pushover from a ruck saw Jonathan Hier cross the try line and Williams converted to deny the United the win and give the home side a share of the points.
Tenby welcomed new Tongan signing, number eight Mosese Makafini into the fold, while scrum-half Jason Scarfe and Toby Smith gave impressive displays.
There's no league fixture for the Seasisders this weekend, but they will take on St. Davids in the Pembrokeshire KO Cup at home on Wednesday night, with kick-off at Heywood Lane at 7.15 pm.
Tenby fielded: Sion Brace, Jimmy Davies, Tom Taylor (John Owen), Dai Meyrick, Simon Stanford, Jason Scarfe (Dan Thomas), Toby Smith, Mosese Makafini, Luke Dedman, Dylan Grifin, Wyndham Williams, Ben Cray, Jonny Palmer, Rob Clark (Geoff Martin), Nicky Guymer (Capt).
