You've only got 10 days left to save your post office. That's the message from South Pembrokeshire AM Angela Burns as the consultation period for the post office closure programme ends on July 14. "I have been to many public meetings and seen for myself the passion, the outrage and the anger that is motivating communities to try to save their post office," said Mrs. Burns. "I have also had many submissions via email and letter to my office from people spelling out just how important their local post office is to them. I would urge anyone who's been meaning to make a submission to make sure they do get their paperwork in by July 14." One of the points that Mrs. Burns will be making in her submission is the importance of post offices to the many online businesses that have been set up in rural west Wales. "Through these public meetings I have met people who do all sorts of things from selling wooden doorknobs to providing music production skills via the internet. They are heavy users of the Royal Mail and to all of them the proximity of a post office is vital."
