This year, the Pembrokeshire Darwin Centre is celebrating the bicentenary of the birth of Charles Darwin and 150 years since the publication of his book, The Origin of Species.

Charles Darwin was a British scientist who laid the foundations of the theory of evolution and transformed the way people think about the natural world.

As well as science workshops for children, this year the Welston Challenge and the Buzz Club are incorporating art workshops run by Gwenlin Joy and Bob Royston.

During this time, Gwenlin will also be artist in residence at Welston Court, producing her own paintings on the theme of evolution and Darwin's voyage to the Galapagos Islands.

As artist in residence, she will have a studio at Welston Court, which can be viewed over the time of the workshops (until July 14, by appointment).

A small display of the work can also be seen at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery until July 14.
