Sir,

The Pembrokeshire Alliance of Complementary Therapists (PACT) is an organisation representing a number of complementary health practitioners in the area.

We would like to register our dismay at the forthcoming closure of the Harvest Stores in Narberth. Undoubtedly this is due to the proposed huge rise in business rates in the town.

Through the shop, Rachel Oliver has provided a magnificent service to the community over many years. Not only has she supplied the remedies (in the widest sense and including organic food and supplements) that many of our patients need, but also she has incredible knowledge of the range of complementary therapies and what they have to offer, so she deals expertly with many enquiries every day. In addition, she has been a loyal and longstanding supporter of our organisation.

It is very regrettable that this focus for complementary therapies, as well as for the people of Narberth, is being forced out of existence. It will leave a very large hole in the community of Narberth and beyond.

Secretary,

On behalf of PACT (Pembrokeshire Alliance of Complementary Therapists),
