Sir,
Looking at Tenby through the eyes of a tourist (although I am not), I am saddened at many things:
The massive decline in many buildings (let alone the ones that still haven't been built). One has to wonder how safe they are to the general public with adverse weather conditions taking its toll.
The quite obvious lack of investment on the High Street, whether it be independent or national names - desperately needed, with the knock-on effect of creating jobs and allowing the public to shop without adding petrol prices to the bill or waiting for a very poor public transport system.
The unsightly multi-storey car park - which has a dual purpose now as the local children have to use it as a skateboard park (as there is still no sign of one being built).
The lack of a cinema and ten-pin bowling, which would be perfect. There is very little to do which does not rely on a 20-30 minute car journey.
The public toilets - when you find one, they are nothing short of disgusting!
Even though we are in a recession, I do hope things are going to improve for tourism, locals and most importantly the children.
