Kirsty Williams AM launched her manifesto to become leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats at a press conference on Monday morning and then headed for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire for meetings with transport officers of both county councils, accompanied by John Gossage, the local PPC. They discussed a number of issues, including the fate of the 333 bus services between Carmarthen and Pembroke Dock and the 322 between Carmarthen and Haverfordwest.
In the evening, Kirsty spoke to an assembly of local party members gathered at Llety Cynin, near St. Clears.
"I was very impressed by Kirsty's clear passion for politics," said Karen Williams, a new member from Monkton.
Jenny Randerson, who is also contesting the leadership, was also due to visit the constituency yesterday (Thursday) for a similar programme of meetings focused upon health and social sare. In the evening she was to speak to local party members at Coedcanlas.
