Haven Holiday parks have moved to quash rumours on social media relating to Coronavirus cases at its Kiln Park site near Tenby.
The leisure company who as well as Kiln Park, have sites nearby at Penally Court, and Lydstep Beach Holiday Village have stated that there is ‘no truth’ to rumours that there has been an ‘outbreak’ of Covid-19 at the park, vehemently denying claims circulating on Facebook that cases relating to Kiln Park had resulted in patients being admitted to Withybush Hospital.
A spokesperson for Haven stated today (Tuesday): “At Haven the safety and security of our guests, owners and team is our number one priority. Since we closed our parks in March due to the Coronavirus pandemic we have put a range of measures in place, including our ‘Clean and Safe Charter’, to ensure everyone on our parks feel safe and secure.
“We have had no outbreaks of Coronavirus on our parks and there is no truth to the rumours around outbreaks,” they added.
Public Health Wales (PHW) confirmed today (July 21) that no new cases of coronavirus have been recorded for Pembrokeshire and the area covered by the Hywel Dda Health Board. Figures from PHW show that there were 60 testing episodes done in Pembrokeshire yesterday.
