Scouts, Cubs and Beavers from all over Pembrokeshire, including 1st Kilgetty, marched from Tenby train station to St. Mary's Church as part of the parade, passing through the Five Arches and into Tudor Square, and what a fantastic sight they were. This was part of a nationwide event held each year as St. George is the patron saint of Scouting. 1st Kilgetty Scout Group was just one of the many groups there, but in this group alone there were five Scouts, 13 Cubs and 15 Beavers, a wonderful turnout. Thanks go to all parents for the effort put in. Flag bearers for Kilgetty were: Thomas Emanuel for Beavers, Lisa Allen for Cubs, Liam Fenge for Scouts, while Ben Prestwich read the prayers. After the wonderful service, all the groups marched back the same way and ended up for squash and biscuits at the wonderful new Scout Hut in Tenby. Thanks Tenby Scouts, it was much appreciated. It was a lovely sunny day and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
