The following issues were discussed at the July meeting of Kilgetty, Begelly Community Council: Community project: Despite appearances to the contrary, the Community Project was ongoing with lots of behind the scenes activity. Your ideas regarding fund-raising to help finance the Community Project are welcome. Please e-mail them to kilgetty [email protected]">[email protected]. Road markings: Road markings 'slow and araf' have been provided to reinforce the bend warning at the WWA Treatment Plant, east of Kilgetty. Certificate of Achievement: This is awarded to any individual or group of people who you think should be nominated, for example for their good deeds, volunteering their time and effort for the good of the community. If you know of a person or group who you think deserve a Certificate of Achievement, then please write to the clerk, Mrs. Janet Ward, at the community centre, Carmarthen Road, Kilgetty. Planning applications received this month: erection of nine dwellings - Begelly Farm, Begelly; extension - Upper Cowsland Farmhouse, Begelly. Planning permission received this month: Construction of dwelling - land adjacent to Footlands, Begelly; extensions to dwelling - Fold Park, Begelly; installation of 45,000 HV underground petrol tank - Crossroads, Begelly; tree felling - Begelly House, Begelly.
