KILGETTY U11s 10 TEMPLETON U11s 0

Blessed with beautiful sunshine, a large crowd gathered for this local derby, but Kilgetty proved too hot for Templeton.

Templeton kicked-off and were put under pressure, but Kilgetty found it hard to break though the defence.

They finally got the break through they were looking for when Baker netted from a corner.

A few minutes later, Anna Doble got her first goal, neatly tucking the ball away into the corner of the net.

Proctor made it three just before half-time with a strike from just outside the box.

Templeton continued to defend well and with good spirit, but were finally undone as Cope bagged a brace of goals soon after the restart.

Templeton threw caution to the wind and sent three up front, but they were well covered by Thomas and Watts at the back for Kilgetty.

Gray continued to press down the left-hand side for Kilgetty and set up Proctor for his second. Bates also grabbed a brace of goals, before Howells and Lewis completed the scoring for Kilgetty.

Kilgetty fielded: R. Howells, A. Thomas, B. Watts, D. Bates, C. Proctor, R. Gray, T. Baker, R. Cope, A. Doble, S. Lewis.

KILGETTY U14s 6 HUNDLETON U14s 3

Don't be fooled by the scoreline, this first round cup game was all Hundleton and with nine minutes to go they were three-one up and had the game in the bag.

Kilgetty were outplayed for most of the game as an 'up for it' Hundleton came looking for a result and a passage into the quarter-finals.

Both sides cancelled the other out for the first 20 minutes until a quality ball split the home defence and Matthew Smith gave Shane Earp, in goal, no chance.

Things got worse for Kilgetty when Smith grabbed another bang on half-time for two-nil.

After a stern talk from Bobby Bevan during the break, the home side started to knock the ball about to good effect and when Josh Bevan slotted a lovely through ball into the area, Dan Colley latched onto it to bring Kilgetty within reach.

Hundleton again came back when Matthew Heaps struck home to pile on the agony.

With time running out and the visitors not giving an inch in defence, an early exit looked likely for Kilgetty.

There were nine minutes left when Dean Lawrence lofted a well-taken corner into the heart of the Hundleton area and Oliver Morgan muscled his way through to strike a lovely header for three-two.

The way the game was going, it seemed impossible for the home team to get a result, but Lawrence took a corner that seemed destined for the net; it beat the 'keeper and only the hand of a Hundleton defender kept the ball out.

Up stepped Rob Whitfield for the resulting penalty and he confidently slotted the ball home to level the tie.

Hundleton looked gutted, but Kilgetty now had the bit between their teeth and further goals from Josh Bevan and Dan Colley sent the home side into raptures.

For Hundleton Rhys Jelly and Luke Richards were outstanding.

For Kilgetty, Foster, Parsons, Morgan and Hodge all had their moments, Paul Brookes played well on the wing, but as Bobby Bevan admitted after the match "this was a get out of jail card today."

Kilgetty squad: Sam Foster, Rob Colley, Barry Parsons, Paul Hodge, Paul Brookes, Adam Morgan, Jack Bevan (capt.), Rob Whitfield, Josh Bevan, Dan Colley, Oliver Morgan, Dean Lawrence, Shane Earp.
