Although Whitland kept going for the runs, the home team fell 15 runs short of reaching the winning target after being bowled out for 145. Aled Davies played the biggest innings of the night with 55, while the experienced pair of Peter Wright and Gwyn Phillips scored 14 and 11, respectively, and the visitors conceded 31 extras. For Llangwm, Lyn Rees took four for 25, Josh Davies two for 35 and Dave Richards two for 36.
