Celebrating 40 years of marriage was the order of the day for family, friends and all at KCF for Alf and Rosie Stupple. An evening at the Court House celebrated their lives together, with good food, serious fun, and great music, by their natural and church family.
Paul Dando, senior pastor of KCF, congratulated them both, shaking Alf by the hand and saying 'well done' for 40 years married to Rosie, and shaking Rosie by the hand and declaring 'miracle' for 40 years married to Alf.
The celebrations continued on Sunday morning at the Queen's Hall, where a bouquet was presented by Pearl Dando on behalf of KCF, and leaders within the church prayed thanksgiving and a continued blessing on the couple. Paul Dando also thanked and honoured them for their faithfulness to the church and for their wise counsel and support. Phil Prosser was the main speaker for the day, on the theme for KCF of 'what house will you build for me?' He was excellent on 'my house will be a house of prayer'.
This subject is being further studied at house groups that meet mid-week in Narberth and the surrounding area.
KCF have held a 24/7 week of prayer and numerous 24-hour prayer days. In 2007, they will see that progress.
Kingscare had a busy training day on Saturday. Kingscare offers pregnancy and post abortion counselling and is based at the Court House. In addition, they are also part of a national 24/7 helpline. The training day was the first of several being held in Narberth this year.
Also, from resources within KCF, and admin support from the Court House, a busy programme has continued into Monkton in Pembroke. This has seen a continued flourishing luncheon club, mother and toddler group, and over the last year, a music workshop and ballet lessons.
The end of January sees a special church weekend away for KCF, travelling to a conference centre in Cardiff, and joining with another church and leaders from other fellowships that KCF have strong links with. Speakers will include those who minister at conferences and churches throughout the world. As well as a time set aside to be a local church family, teaching from the Bible, open to the Holy Spirit, there will also be serious fun.
Grace Church for you, is the invitation from KCF. Due to the church weekend away, the meeting this Sunday will be held in the Court House at 10.30 am. On Sunday, February 4, they meet at the Queen's Hall at 10.30 am.
