The Rotary Club of Tenby's Rotarians Eliminating Malaria in Tanzania project has received a boost from Tenby Junior School. The school recently held a successful Global Awareness Week to raise awareness of the different countries in the world, with particular focus on Botswana in Africa, which two members of staff, Mrs. Day and Miss Bignell, had visited in February. At the conclusion of the week, pupils and staff dressed in traditional costumes of different countries. Everyone gave a token gift of money and this amounted to £160. Headteahcer, Mrs. Jan Llewellyn (in French disguise), is seen here presenting the cheque for the proceeds to chairman of International Service, Rotarian Chris Jones. Also pictured is club treasurer, Alan Higgs.
