The Junior Choir of St. Mary's Church, Tenby, were officially commissioned during the church service last Sunday and presented with their surplices.
Led by Dr. John Harrison, musical director and choir master of St. Mary's Church, the choir meet for rehearsal every Thursday evening and always welcome new members.
They were formed last September and sing as a choir in their own right and part of the senior choir for some occasions. This is the first time since 1995 that there has been a junior element to the choir.
They are following the course called 'Voice for Life', recently set up by the Royal School of Church Music. The organisation was set up in 1927 and has its international headquarters in Salisbury. It aims to offer training and guidance for young singers as part of a Christian family, and promote the importance of music in worship worldwide.
