Tenby councillors have been told that the county council would prefer the Jubilee area as a provisional site for a skate park in the town rather than Battery Gardens.

Plans to construct a skate park facility on land at the Salterns were recently scuppered, when it was revealed that a public sewer system would prevent any building work taking place at the site.

However, proposals to introduce the facility at the Jubilee could hit a stumbling block, according to Clr. David Morgan, who said that he had been approached by some residents who said that they would oppose the plans as it was a residential area.

Councillors said that they would inform local architect, David J. P. Morgan, who has been in consultation with the town council over the planning application for the skate park, about the county council's preference regarding the siting of the facility.
