A charity fishing auction and rugby match in memory of Chris ‘Faddy’ Thomas will be held once again in Tenby to raise money for two worthy causes.
The two annual memorial events are beng held again this year to raise money in memory of Faddy under the banner of ‘The Kick and Catch’ - combining two things that he loved in life the most - rugby and fishing.
The first event will be the memorial rugby match held at Heywood Lane on Sunday, May 24, with gates opening at 11am.
It will be a day full of rugby, music, drinks, and raising money for Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity and Air Ambulance Wales.
Entry to this year’s rugby day will be priced at £6. However if you purchase a Kick & Catch t-shirt or hoody in advance, your entry ticket will be £5 and you’ll receive a Kick & Catch cup with entry.
“We had an incredible turnout last year, so let’s make it another day to remember!” the organisers shared.
Next up will be the ‘The Catch’ on Sunday, June 14 at The Hope & Anchor where the fishing auction will take place from 4.30 to 10.30pm.
For this, once again this year, a temporary road closure will be in place for the centre of Tenby, taking in Tudor Square and St Julians Street – from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Bridge Street.
Crackwell Street will be made two-way under temporary traffic light control to enable access to properties in the Harbour area. Pedestrian and Emergency vehicle access will be maintained. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
“After the success of last year’s events, we’re looking forward to seeing you all again and raising more money for Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity and Wales Air Ambulance - all in the name of Faddy,” the organisers added.
