A memorial charity concert is being held next month to celebrate the 40th birthday of John Lewis who sadly passed away in February with chronic myeloid leukaemia.

The concert, which is being held on Friday, October 13, will be raising valuable funds for the haematology day unit at the University Hospital of Wales where John was treated.

The concert is being organised by John’s brother Neil.

“John told me he wanted to have one hell of a party to celebrate his 40th as it would probably be his last,” said Neil, “so we are organising this concert in his memory.”

The concert will feature local musicians, Alice Christopher and Taryn Williams, the band New Angle, DJ Maddox and a performance by the Seren Irish Dancers.

It’s being held at the RAOB Club, Kilgetty, from 7 pm. Tickets are £2.50 each and they are available from the RAOB Club or Blueberry’s in Tenby.

There will also be a face painter and every ticket includes free entry into a raffle.
