TWO Grand National winning jockeys recently met up at a Tenby guest house.

John Buckingham, who rode Foinavon to success in 1967, was staying with his wife at Courtney Guest House in South Cliff Street, which is run by their friends, Ron and Beryl Scourfield.

During his stay, fellow Grand National winner, Brian Fletcher, who rode Red Rum to victory in 1973 and 1974 and finished second in 1975, came to visit. The pair took a tour of Tenby and were both amazed and delighted to be recognised.
