Narberth looks set to get a jobs boost following news that three new businesses are to open in the town. A furniture maker, car dealership retailer and a courier distribution firm are believed to be relocating to the town in the course of the next few months, subject to all necessary planning and legal requirements being approved. "This will bring a number of new jobs to the town and adds to Narberth's growing prominence in West Wales," said County Councillor Wynne Evans (pictured) this week. "I am delighted with the developments and I am pleased to have had the opportunity of bringing the great benefits and position of Narberth to the attention of these businesses." The companies include a main wood furniture maker re-locating from The Midlands, a main car dealership retailer who is moving to Narberth from elsewhere in the county, and a courier distribution firm, transferring from just outside the county. "It is hoped that these businesses will create around 42 new jobs initially," said Clr. Evans. He added: "With sadly James Williams Brains Brewery moving out the the town, more new jobs will always be welcome. "Funding and enterprise grants from a number of sources are in place for applications for business set-ups."
