The Rector celebrated at the Easter Day Eucharist at Jeffreyston. Adding to the celebration of Easter was the baptism within the context of the Eucharist of baby Elsbeth Harts, the daughter of Andrew and Judith Harts. The congregation were delighted to welcome members of her family on this traditional time for the sacrament of baptism and confirmation.

Fr Paul used a visual aid to stress the importance and centrality of Easter in the life of the Christian family.

At the service at Lawrenny, the celebrant was Prebendary Michael Kinna, recently retired priest from Hereford diocese and brother-in-law of the Rector's wife.

Canon Michael Lewis celebrated at Reynalton and Rev. Sylvia Temple at Loveston.

The Gospel reading was from John, Chapter 20, vv1-18, where we read the dramatic account of the first people to discover that Jesus really had risen from the dead. It is the beginning of a new phase, and its truth has diret meaning for us today.

Rhiannan read the Sunday School prayer summing up the theme of the day.

This Sunday, services will be Eucharist and Sunday School at Jeffreyston at 10.30 am; Lawrenny at 10.45 am; and 12.15 pm at Loveston.
