The following matters were discussed at a meeting held recently:
Members were pleased to receive an assurance from Pembrokeshire County Council that reinstatement work would be carried out on completion of works being undertaken at Downs View, Jeffreyston.
Payment of the annual subscription to the Pembrokeshire Association of Local Councils was approved.
No objection was raised to the removal of trees, with the exception of the yew tree, adjacent to the path from the door of Jeffreyston Church to the Churchyard.
Information was received from Pembrokeshire County Council in respect of Jeffreyston having been chosen to take part in the second phase of the county's Kerbside Recycling Scheme from early June. The school was also being included in the 'Recycle 4 Schools' scheme.
Concern was expressed that planning applications had been received to convert the school house at Loveston School into three residential dwellings and the school annexe to one residential unit, in view of the fact that planning consent had been issued in June, 2005, for change of use of the school to one residential dwelling prior to the property being advertised for sale by public auction. Members were, therefore, opposed to the current planning applications as, had the property been offered for sale as a development site, this would have been reflected in the purchase price to the benefit of the ratepayers, the owners of the property.
No objection was raised to a planning application for the erection of a new scorebox building, including storage space, at Cresselly Cricket Club.
