The following matters were considered at the annual meeting held recently: Appointment of chairman and vice- chairman: Councillors T. B. Miller and R. S. Scourfield were appointed chairman and vice-chairman for the ensuing year, respectively. Buildings at Cresswell Quay: An officer of Cadw had recently visited Cresswell Quay to inspect the older buildings with a view to listing them along with the red telephone kiosk. Loan Hill Farm, Jeffreyston: Discussion again ensued in respect of business activities at Loan Hill Farm and the continued use of an access in the wrong direction via the one-way system. County Clr. E .J. Codd stated that he had been assured by the county planning department that a planning application was imminent. Free home security for vulnerable people: A letter was received from the burglary reduction co-ordinator, Dyfed Powys Police, stating that the Pembrokeshire Community Safety Partnership would supply and fit home security equipment free of charge to residents over 60 who were vulnerable (e.g. living alone) and to those residents who were genuinely disabled. The main purpose of the scheme was to reduce crime and the fear of crime amongst the most vulnerable residents. Details of persons who could benefit from the scheme, i.e. name, address, date of birth, contact telephone number and reason for vulnerability (e.g. over 60 and living alone) should be sent to Mark Jones, Community Safety Department, Police Station, Water Street, Pembroke Dock. Planning consent - copies of planning consent issued in respect of the following applications were received: Lanes End, Cresselly - erection of dwelling - outline (approved); Grumbly Bush Farm, Yerbeston - static caravan for staff accommodation (approved); Grumbly Bush Farm, Yerbeston - eesidential dwelling - outline (approved). Signpost opposite East Lodge, Cresselly: Complaint was received that the arms of the signpost at the above location were pointing in the wrong direction causing confusion for visitors to the area. It was agreed to request Pembrokeshire County Council to rectify this matter.
