This little boy from Narberth got more than he bargained for, when his desire to win a cuddly toy got the better of him! Seven-year-old Jack McHarg, of James John Close, Narberth, was enjoying a quiet, relaxing Sunday lunch with his mother recently at Wiseman's Bridge Inn, when his curiosity led him over to one of the arcade grabbing machines. "Jack's quite familiar with the place, so it was just routine for him to go and have a wander to play on the amusement games," explained his mother, Alison. "When I went to look for him though, imagine my surprise when I found him not trying to win one of the teddy bears, but actually standing in amongst them. "He had a big grin on his face and was more than happy to be distributing free teddies out to the crowd of children that had gathered round to have a look at what he was doing," laughed Alison. Jack had managed to climb through the shutter where the prizes are distributed, but found himself stuck in the machine as he was unable to fit back through the exit. Jack was finally released after a wait of about 25 minutes for one of the call-out people from the Lettuce Group, who own the machine, to arrive with the keys. "He was fine in the end and found the whole thing quite funny, although he couldn't understand what all the fuss was about and why so many people wanted to take his photo," added Alison.
