It's show time for local X Factor pop sensation Jay James Picton.
The 31-year-old former Royal Navy fitness instructor who rose to fame in the ITV prime time reality show was about to undergo final rehearsals for the X Factor Tour which kicks-off in Belfast tonight (Friday, February 13).
Jay, who has recently been writing and producing a song for soul singer Alexander O'Neal, is among eight acts performing in what he described as an 'incredible production.'
"It's fantastic," he told the Observer.
"I really do feel privileged to be part of the tour. Everybody has been working so hard. We have the best team of producers and dance crew around and, of course, it's great to be back with the other contestants, who are such a positive bunch of people."
Although he couldn't reveal too much about the show, Jay, who hails from Saundersfoot, did tell us he would be singing two solo songs and in two group ensembles.
"It's very fast moving," Jay continued. "I love performing and then rushing round to the audience to watch the rest."
The tour travels around the UK, but highlight of course for Jay will be performing in front of a sellout Welsh crowd in Cardiff next month.
"Cardiff is my place and it's great we have three dates there."
