Ten months ago, Tenby's Billy Connor had the swimming ability of a six-year-old - now he can proudly say he is an Ironman after finishing one of the toughest triathlon events in the world.
Twenty-two-year-old Billy described his Ironman Wales debut as 'absolutely terrific'.
"The whole day was unbelievable," he said.
"The atmosphere and support was amazing - I had people cheering me on right round the course.
"I watched last year's Ironman and thought I'll give that a crack. I couldn't swim 10 months ago, but I had lessons with Olly Simon and I did the swim in one hour five minutes."
Billy then went on to do the bike ride in 7:29:04 and the run in 4:22:08 which saw him cross the red carpet finish line in 768th place in a time of 13:22:26.
Will he do it again next year?
"Yes, and possibly for charity," was his reply.
