PJ PROMOTIONS have a new venue for their next concert which will be held at The Whitland Dairy Sports and Social Club on March 15.

Topping the bill will be Irish favourite Ann Breen and her trio who are in the middle of a 30-concert tour throughout Great Britain.

Whitland is one of just three appearances in Wales. Supporting Ann will be the popular local duo Lynn and Dai, who are well known for their support of charities in the area.

Ann Breen hails from Downpatrick at the foot of the Mourne Mountains in Northern Ireland and this year celebrates 20 years as a professional singer. She formed her own band in the early '80s and since then has toured Ireland, Great Britain, Europe, especially Scandinavia, and the USA, singing her own brand of Irish, Country and popular songs.

Her song 'Pal of my cradle days' went straight to the top of the Irish charts and entered the Guiness Book of Records after remaining in the charts for two years. Ann has appeared on Irish and British TV, winning endless awards for her singing and entertainment.

"Those who come to hear Ann are in for a treat," said Peter Jones, of PJ PROMOTIONS, which has now established itself as the top promoter of Irish Country music in the area. "As always, we advise people to get tickets early. All of our previous concerts have been packed out and everyone has gone away very happy, so there is bound to be a huge demand."

Tickets (£8) are available from Llewellyn's Newsagent in Kilgetty, or by 'phone from Lloyd Evans (tel. 01994 240144) or from PJ PROMOTIONS (tel. 01834 813145)
