An inquest has been opened, and adjourned, into the sudden and unexpected death of a pensioner at a South Pembrokeshire care home last week.
Eighty-one-year-old John Heywood Davies, formerly of Goodwick, Haverfordwest and Cardiff, died at Brooklands Nursing Home, Saundersfoot, last Tuesday.
Following the death, an investigation was launched involving Dyfed Powys Police, the Health and Safety Inspectorate, the Care Standards Inspectorate for Wales and Pembrokeshire County Council Adult Protection Personnel.
A police spokesman confirmed on Wednesday that inquiries were still continuing.
The funeral takes place at Parc Gwyn Crematorium next Friday at 1.45 pm.
