The lovely setting of the Swallow Tree Restaurant, Saundersfoot, was the venue for the recent Tenby Inner Wheel handover dinner. On the terrace, the outgoing president, Mrs. Anne Kelly, presented cheques of £200 for the Tenby RNLI to Mr. Fred Broomhead and £300 for the Air Ambulance Wales to Mr. Peter Kraus. A further £200 was sent to Cancer Research Wales, making a total of £1,000 raised for this charity during Anne's year of office. Guests included Soroptimist president, Mrs. Rosemary Hayes, and Mrs. Julie Morris, president of Tenby Ladies Circle. Grace was said by Mrs. Liz Storey. After a delicious meal, the loyal toast was proposed by Mrs. Marnie Owen. Mrs. Anne Kelly proceeded to thank her committee and presented them with 'thank you' gifts. Anne, in turn, was presented with a bouquet of flowers by the members. The incoming president, Mrs. Margaret Jones, welcomed everyone and looked forward to a year filled with fun, friendship and fund-raising. The next meeting will be on Monday, July 11, visiting the new lifeboat house at 7 pm and an informal meeting afterwards at the Pam Pam.
