The Inner Wheel Club of Tenby and District held the annual president’s handover lunch at Lamphey Hall last month.

President Meryl on behalf of her and joint president Judy gave her report on a successful year, thanking Judy in her absence for her hard work raising money for Ukraine.

She also thanked everyone for their support and then handed over the chain to Val Bowen the new president.

Everyone in Tenby Inner Wheel is proud to support her this year. Kath Lewis will deputise when necessary.

A meeting was also held recently at the New Overlander in Penally, where president Meryl welcomed the district chairman Maria Williams, together with members of The Inner Wheel Clubs of Haverfordwest, Milford Haven and Pembroke.

After the welcome, the ‘friendship candle’ was lit by past president Maria James for past members, president Marianne Harris of Milford Haven for the present, and Angela from Haverfordwest for the future.

Certificates were presented to Gwneth Perkins for 42 years service, and Janet Green for 64 years. She was a founder member of Pembroke but now in Haverfordwest Club.

There was another certificate for Sylvia Hughes for 43 years, but she wasn’t present at the meeting.

After a grace, everyone enjoyed a buffet and thanked Karen Tulley of The New Overlander for her hospitality.
