The Inner Wheel Club of Tenby held its first business meeting under the presidency of Pat Matthews, on Monday evening, September 14, at the Fourcroft Hotel.
Unfortunately, president Pat herself could not attend as she is recuperating from a hip operation. Jan Griffiths, vice-president, chaired the meeting on her behalf.
As this was a meeting, there were general reports from all the officers. Carwen Harry, treasurer, presented the audited accounts for 2008/9, which were accepted by the club. The forthcoming programme was discussed. A small brochure, giving details of the year's programme, listing officers and current members and their addresses, was given out. This was produced by Jenny Deverson's granddaughter on her computer especially for the club and thanks go to her for all her hard work. It will be extremely useful for members to have.
Leaflets for the Samaritans' Purse Shoe Box were handed out and members were reminded that this year the boxes needed to be in by November 1.
Members should note that the next business meeting will be on Monday, October 12, at the Fourcroft, and will have a speaker on reflexology. The birthday dinner will also be at the Fourcroft on Wednesday, October 21, 7 for 7.30 pm.
