The Inner Wheel Club met at the Fourcroft Hotel last week. The president, Joyce, welcomed members and opened the business meeting. She and other Inner Wheel members had attended several functions since the last meeting. These included the Saundersfoot Inner Wheel Club's international night and the Milford Haven Inner Wheel Club's 50th anniversary celebration dinner.

Joyce thanked Betty Charnock for all her help with the Christmas gift boxes for overseas. It was a mammoth task to store and despatch all the boxes. The club is very grateful to Betty.

Welfare officer Ellen is arranging a rota of helpers for the preparation of teas for the visually impaired.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery were sent to Jo Steele, who is recovering from surgery.

Programme secretary Margaret gave the travel arrangements for the dinner at the Pembrokeshire College on March 5. The coach will leave Penally at 5.15 pm, the South Parade at 5.20 pm and later at pre-arranged pick-up points.

The club secretary, Jean, read the correspondence. Invitations had been received from Tenby Rotary Club to an informal lunch at the Giltar Hotel on St. David's Day.

The Soroptimists also invited members to a charity lunch on March 15 at the Heywood Mount Hotel.

Guest speaker for the afternoon was Mrs. Doreen Hammersley, who had brought along her wonderful collection of apple dolls. The members 'had a go' at making their own after some tuition from Doreen. A very enjoyable afternoon was had by all.

A business meeting and the election of officers will be on the agenda at the next meeting at the Fourcroft Hotel on March 9.
