Pembroke Town Council are appealing for information on the birthplaces of two locally born men famous for their contribution to the arts.
Information is sought on the houses where actor Mervyn Johns and composer Daniel Jones were born, as plans are in the pipeline to erect 'blue plaques' in the town to commemorate the two men.
Mervyn Johns, who was born in 1934 and passed away aged 93 in 1992, was a distinctive Welsh film and television character actor, and a mainstay of Ealing Studios.
Daniel Jones was a friend of Dylan Thomas who wrote the musical score for Under Milk Wood, where Mr. Waldo drunkenly sings the bawdy song 'In Pembroke city when I was young I lived by the castle keep'.
Anyone with onformation is asked to contact the town council's clerk, Mrs. Suzie Thomas, on 01646 683092, at Pembroke Town Hall.
