Like the rest of Wales, Pembrokeshire celebrated the day of our patron saint yesterday (Thursday). St. David's Day was marked in colourful style by people across the county, with children dressing in traditional national costume for their school eisteddfodau and concerts. Pupils of Tenby's St. Teilo's Nursery are seen above . March 1 also saw the opening of the annual Daffodil Festival at St. Johns Church, Tenby, where 5,500 golden blooms have been used to create spectacular floral displays. Various Welsh-themed events are also being held as part of the festival which runs until Sunday. In Narberth CP School, meanwhile, St. David's Day once again saw keen competition between the three houses in singing, reciting and a variety of class activities for the Eisteddfod Shield. At the end of the Eisteddfod, 'Blackbirds' emerged as winners.
